Manages the business as their own, driving performance (productivity & profitability) through KPI’s, the store and its operational functions as well as people development. Ensures best in class client experience and service in adherence with Clinique’s education curriculums and standards. Completely accountable for the achievement of the sales and profit of the store, performs opening, closing and all procedures with precision,ensures store and employee safety. Leads the team with passion and enthusiasm, always maintaining high in-store energy and motivation.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Planning (Executes with Excellence and DemonstratesLearningAgility )

  • Responsible for achieving monthly and yearly business plans (sales goals) and customer services targets.
  • Local insights (consumer transactions/demographic profiles, competitor activity) to drive granular growth through local relevance
  • Effective target setting, tracking performance against target throughout the day, week and month to ensure a timely action plan to address any sales deficit
  • Responsible for tracking and sharing the store’s monthly accounting: monitor the stores expenses etc.
  • Optimizes staff scheduling in line with fluctuating customer traffic ensuring relevance to local consumer base
  • Collaborates with corporate business partners ( field executives, Head Office) to ensure regular business updates

Leadership and Development (Develops Talent & Capabilities, Aligns & Engages the Teamin the Vision)

  • Recruits new team members with the skills and behaviors required to achieve sales and customer service targets
  • Manages time effectively , establishes priorities and delegates effectively to meet goals and objectives
  • Conducts regular formal/informal meetings with each team member to discuss and provide coaching on performance goals, opportunities, challenges and development needs
  • Plans and executes daily, weekly and monthly briefings with the team to cover brand updates, performance to goals, consumer insights, competitor activity, beauty industry trends and news; Maintain updated training documents for the team
  • Recognizes and celebrates success
  • Creates and maintains an environment of open and positive communication and professionalism at all times
  • Performs thorough and timely staff reviews and initiates increases, promotions, disciplinary action and terminations, as directed, with Account Executive and Human Resources approval
  • Adopts an open and honest approach emphasizing fairness and integrity
  • Responsible for all In Store Operational Duties: Ensures the workplace environment is maintained (house keeping duties, safety compliance, cleanliness, restocking products, opening and closing duties);
  • Merchandise the store; Reports any maintenance need to the store operations team in NY
  • Follows all operational policies and procedures to ensure that the store achieves organizational and administrative excellence at all times

Customer Service (BuildsCollaborative Relationships)

  • Ensures a welcoming environment for the clients in the store and genuinely connects with clients with the intention of building a strong relationship

Qualifications

Education

  • Minimum Grade 12
  • College/University Degree preferred

Job Related Skills

  • Previous

retail experience in skincare and beauty an asset

  • Managerial Experience

  • Bilingual Preferred; Mandarin speaking
