Courses included in this program and hours

Nail Care: Manicures – 105 Hours

You will learn how to apply a perfect polish application, ranging from classic red polish to French tips. An understanding of hot oil, paraffin wax, and hot stone treatments will customize your treatments, and assure that you cement yourself in the marketplace.

Nail Care: Pedicures – 105 Hours

In addition to learning how perform the same flawless polish applications to your clients toes, this course also involve an-depth comprehension of toenail shaping, cuticle work, foot/leg massages, and reflexology. Reflexology education will assure that you understand the benefits of stimulating the reflex points on the foot.

Nail Care: Artificial Nails – 147 Hours

In this course you will be taught a range of artificial nail enhancement and application techniques.These will include acrylic/gel applications over tips/forms, and silk nail wraps. You will also learn how to perform detailed airbrushing, nail drill techniques, three dimensional acrylic art, freehand painting, layered colored gel design and water art.

 

Furthermore, you will discover how enhance the look of the hand and fingers, while discovering how to correct overly bitten nails.

Nail Care: Salon Business – 42 Hours

You will be provided the knowledge and ability to own and operate a spa or salon business. This includes managing a budget, selling services, retail, advertising, market research, sales and promotion.

 

Through your practical experience in our NIC Spa Training Facility, it will become clear how these components lead to a successful business.

Nail Care: Career Development – 21 Hours

This section will focus on developing your managerial ability through practical work. Learning how to manage the daily operations, developing a schedule, and discovering how to up-sell services and retail products, you will soon become fully confident working in a spa atmosphere.

 

You will also be taught all aspects of creating your professional resume. This education will assure that you understand how to be fully prepared when entering the workforce and succeeding in interviews.

Body Care: Hair Removal – 63 Hours

Learning about trichology (the scientific study of hair) will help you fully understand the cycles of hair growth. You will soon be capable of an array of hair removal techniques, all aimed to expanding your ability to better service the client.

Body Care: Aromatherapy – 21 Hours

Aromatherapy is the inhalation and bodily application of essential oils. These oils come from aromatic plants which are used to relax the body.

 

Through practical instruction, our mentors will teach you how to implement different essential oils into aroma wraps. This skill set will allow you to offer both rejuvenating and relaxing services.

Body Care: Body – 63 Hours

It is common for the body to have alternative issues than what appears on the skin. The treatments learned in this section will allow you to recognize these issues and correctly treat them with exfoliation, massage and wraps.

Body Care: Massage – 63 Hours

Massage therapy is a great way to induce physiological and psychological responses in the body. Warm stone therapy treats the muscles on a deeper level, allowing the heat from the rocks and aromatherapy to soothe the mind and body.

 

Our training in this field will give you a competitive edge and the ability to offer treatments that can kickstart the lymphatic system, which drains toxins from the tissues.

Body Care: Plastic Surgery Theory – 21 Hours

As a well-rounded Esthetician, it important to be aware of pre-and post-operative treatments. This course will educate you in cosmetic and surgical terminologies used by professionals.

In addition, you will taught how Botox and Restylane operate within the muscle tissue.

Skin Care: Basic Facials – 84 Hours

This course will leave you feeling fully confident in all facial techniques. Practicing facial cleansing, skin analysis, extractions, exfoliation, mask application, and facial massages, you will be prepared to treat clients.

Skin Care: Skin Analysis – 63 Hours

Training in this course will be focused on developing your ability to perform a thorough skin analysis and consultation. This skill set will allow you to professionally determine all skin types and conditions, thereby maximizing your ability to utilize professional products.

Skin Care: Physiology and Histology – 84 Hours

This course will develop your understanding of the epidermis and dermis. This includes its minute structures, functions, as well as basic knowledge of muscular and skeletal structures.

Skin Care: Electrotherapy – 63 Hours

By participating in practical demonstrations, you will expand your knowledge in how electricity plays a key role in enhancing facial treatments. Discover how the use of high frequency electricity can reduce acne, while the use of galvanic currents can assist with deeper product penetration for dry skin.

Skin Care: Product Knowledge – 42 Hours

Educating your client in what products are best for them, helps develop a strong and repeat clientele base.

 

In this course, you will be educated and tested on ingredients found in different leading skin care products. The more confident you can become, the more confident your client is in you.

Co-op Work Portion – 420 Hours
