HomePostsNIC CommunityGroup 47 Dives Into The World Of Dialog Recording!

There’s never a dull moment at New Image College! Our students experience hands on training to give them real world, industry experience. Here’s a perfect example of that:

Our talented Group 47 students from our coveted Film Acting Conservatory program got to take part in doing some ADR for their second year film project. ADR stands for Automated Dialog Replacement Or Additional Dialog Recording and it’s the process of re-recording dialogue in the studio, to sync up with the picture. There are at least three roles in the ADR process: the actor, the recording engineer, and the sound editor (wild stuff, we know)! This level of technical application and processes involved in film making is what we ensure our students are learning, putting them ahead of the game as NIC Alumni.
