David and Alan are two middle-aged brothers that grew up together in the 70’s. David, 55, is 4 years older than his adopted brother Alan. When the boys were in their 20’s, their parents were killed and the brothers drifted apart. David became a successful accountant: Alan struggled and eventually wound up living hand to mouth on the DTES. David was married but lost his wife 3 years ago and in the first couple episodes, the boys have recently reconnected as David has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers disease. Please note, ALL kids only appear in flashback scenes, taking place in 1975. Everything else is modern day Vancouver.
PLEASE NOTE: this series is dedicated to representing the DTES truthfully in its racial diversity and LGBTQ+ community members. All races, genders and orientations are highly encouraged to submit and audition.
